My favorite place to be is wherever my family is! I understand the importance of close connections, friends and family, work and play, laughter and love and how that influences our physical health. I grew up in a military family. My dad was in the Air Force, so we traveled a lot. We lived in many places throughout the US and I even lived in England! My curiosity and outgoing spirit kept me going when we arrived at new locations. I thrived in meeting new people and having new experiences. I was also impressed by the value of service, to God, our country and to the community we joined each time we would move. Fast forward to today and memories of years past add to the excitement of what’s in store for the future. I am now a wife and mother to four teenage boys! And even though I didn’t have a “hometown” to grow up in, we have made Oviedo our home. It has been a great place to raise our family. Having made this city our home, we’re invested in contributing to the good health and welfare of its people to include the central Florida area. Since graduating from the Nurse’s program at Valencia to my subsequent journey accomplishing a BS in Nursing and achieving my Masters in Nursing as an ARNP, I have been passionate about seeing patients thrive and grow. I have had a wide variety of experiences over the years (from ER to home health to outpatient surgery...) that have all lead me to this point...an opportunity to serve families through Direct Primary Care!
In addition to this, I am also passionate about helping women transition smoothly after giving birth. The first nine years in my Nursing career, I worked in Postpartum at the 3rd largest mother/baby hospital in the United States. There at Winnie Palmer Hospital, I learned that thriving during your postpartum season is an essential part of the process that begins when a woman becomes pregnant. Some women (and their families) seem to breeze through while others encounter circumstances that may challenge them in ways they never expected. We want to be a resource for those during this time.
As a Nurse Practitioner, I have a full network of professionals, who are experts in their field, that we collaborate with in order to provide the very best care available. The journey to the point of opening a Direct Primary Care has been incredible! In 2020, I decided to make this dream a reality. 2020 brought its own challenges and along the way, I met and married my husband and gained another teenage son! Now 2021 is here and I’m ready! I am excited to bring my 17 years of experience and dedicated care to my community and look forward to serving you in any way I can.
My Family!
Aaron, Ramsey, Levi, Cooper, and Micah!
